Marketing Plans
There are many marketing activities that really work for lawyers, if done properly. What makes a marketing campaign successful are the details.
We have researched, tested and collected little-known facts and techniques that transform collateral materials, firm events, speaking engagements and publications into compelling platforms. But, what really makes the difference is strategy. We put together step-by-step plans on how to get noticed by the people you want and how to develop meaningful relationships with them, We know where the operational black holes are and have systems which can find, manage and cultivate the client relationships you want.

Minutes spent looking for files or documents are minutes wasted.
Without adding costly specialty products, we have developed conventions which both flexibly and logically place "papers" (whether wood- or electronic-based) where they will always be found. More importantly, a well constructed and executed file management system will provide for the retention of your own already-forged legal knowledge. The trick is in pulling the knowledge regardless of the context in which it was originally created...and we have the tips for doing this. In concert with automatic disposal schedules (as defined by courts and other authorities), only the useable and relevant stay in an eminently accessible setting.

Accounting Systems
We work with most of the major accounting software products -- General Ledger System (GLS) and Accounts Payable System (APS), both by (STI) Software Technology Inc., Quickbooks, Peachtree and Platinum, to name a few. What makes a system really work for our clients is that we see things as management accountants, not as public accountants. This means that we know how to construct and tweak accounting systems so that they blurt out what is important for executive decision-making. It's not all about tax compliance. And, it's not all about looking pretty for banks. Though both are important, it's even more important for managers to have tools of control. This is what we assure with all accounting systems, whether we put them in anew or refine what is already there.

Organization Development
A law firm, as an entity, has a distinct "biological" profile. Often times, lawyers feel the effects when vital processes are not working or are out of
alignment with one another.
We are especially adept at diagnosis, spotting failing systems and at-odds agenda. We are equally adept at designing winning firm structures. We facilitate getting partners engaged in a fair and balanced government. Along with this are ways to actually implement ideas without being bogged down by the committee-effect. The result is a choreographed flow of operations and information. We complete the process with documentation so that everyone from mailroom to managing partner is on the same page.

Case Management Systems
We design systems using Practice Master, Amicus, Time Matters and Abacus, to name a few. The obvious beauty of case management systems is that they collect and keep all data relevant to a matter under one roof, But, a thriving practice takes more than individual neat files. It requires coordination among attorneys and staff to keep on top of calendars, accountabilities and follow-up. As practices grow there are opportunities to routinize whole areas or aspects of practice. Using off-the-shelf case management systems, we provide bullet proof ways to stay on top of cases while being able to delegate and improve efficiency.

Compensation Systems
Every firm has a compensation system, even when they say they don't!
That's because the way in which resources are allocated always has the the power to incentivize or, at the least, avoid dissatisfaction. It's true in world economies and true in even the smallest of firms. We develop formulae, which value initiatives aligned with overall firm success while being sensitive to human drives. And, because the design comes from us, it avoids fiefdom-building. Drawing on our expertise with time and billing and accounting systems, we set up procedures which are simple to implement. The big effect is that the members are intrinsically motivated to support initiatives.

Time and Billing Systems
Some time and billing systems are developed to manage individual units of time. We say that what a firm should be getting is a way to manage its
relationship with the client while managing its own cash flow. Using TABS3 and Timeslips, we know all the tweaks and nuances so that these programs not only produce fundamental bills, but make possible all case, file, financial, compensation and general management initiatives. . . as a matter of course.

Management Development
When all is said and done, someone has to "mind the store." We help managing partners develop.
Starting from the ground up, we make sure that the firm's governance and reward systems enable MPs to do their jobs. Within that structure, we conduct personalized theory sessions on issues ranging from financial ratios and quantitative decision-making to HR compliance and risk management. And, lastly we cull data from firm operations and walk through the analysis of implications and appropriate actions.
